2016 Hobby Policy Summit



Save the date for our upcoming Hobby Policy Summit. The two-day event will bring together over 300 advocates, leaders, policy experts, visionaries and artists representing the diverse voices and faces of Texas. The biennial Summit will unite Austin Capitol insiders with local leaders from across the state, all working to ensure that every Texan is healthy, well-educated, and financially secure.

Webinar: Expanding Children's Savings Accounts for College in Texas



The Texas Department of Banking is hosting a free webinar on June 23 to highlight OpportunityTexas’ strategy to expand children’s savings account for college in Texas alongside Texas’ K-8 math financial education curriculum. Speakers will share the outcomes of the Dollars for College savings pilot programs in Richardson and Pflugerville, Texas. They will also discuss next steps for this work and how you can get involved.

Webinar: Workplace Financial Wellness - Tools to Help Employees Build Financial Stability and Wealth



Employers play a critical role in helping Texans provide for their families and save for the future – both in the wages they pay and the benefits they provide. One often overlooked benefit employers provide is access to financial wellness programs and products. On this webinar we’ll share results from a survey of Texas non-profits about how they plan to partner with employers to offer financial wellness programs.
